Development of a visual identity and logotype for Retina Set, Paris-based musician. The world of RS is a contrasted one, made of universal themes and soft anthems that most music lovers have known forever while incorporating alternative music from peers of the underground scene. The result of this combination is a surprisingly harmonious dish that only RS can cook.
My job was to design a logotype that shows at least two different vibes which have harmony and consistency altogether. We discussed a treatment for the chosen logotype that would mix softness with energy and came up with the idea of a romantic biker. RS had previously used a picture of himself holding a rose at a party so we decided to bring this rose into the biking universe mixed with materials like leather, carbon fiber, metal and rubber. The end result is a soft and colourful scenery seen through the keyhole of a roaring machine.
